By Ann Beck, Ph.D – Hello! It’s been a minute since I’ve shared my thoughts with you. I spent almost a year in the United Kingdom and France teaching and coaching students within a study abroad program. The time away in a new place gave me the time to reflect upon my next steps for my career back in Central Illinois. In this new fall season, I  plan to share a new fall offering- Life Coaching for Women through Dau Consulting.

Life Coaching for Women will allow me to delve more deeply into how to partner with women to create new stories for your lives. Spending decades in management, being a successful entrepreneur and becoming certified as a life coach has enable me to hone my experience to help you become the powerful and complete person you are meant to be. We all need coaching at some stage of our lives and careers. I have been fortunate to have great coaches and mentors along the way – sometimes formally, sometimes informally, At first, I thought it was a sign of weakness to ask for help, but then I quickly learned that those who had come before me could provide the gentle guidance needed when I didn’t even realize I needed it!

Life coaching is GROWTH COACHING. I can help you develop a structure of growth that will shift your patterns of behavior, provide guidance for the future, develop a pathway to self-leadership and tell your new story. I’ve done it; it works. It has freed me from the shame and isolation I have felt at times in my life and career. 

Consider these questions:

• If you could change something in your life or work, what would that be? What outcome are you seeking?
• Where do you feel powerful?
• What are your challenges?
• What do you want to create? What would be the best part of that?
• What is holding you back? What is slowing you down? Are you stuck in a certain pattern or behavior?
